Full Stack Developer (Java / Angular)
On behalf of our Government Sector client, Procom is searching for a Full Stack Developer (Java / Angular) for a 6-month role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s office in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Full Stack Developer (Java / Angular) - Job Description:
This role is focused on a critical project for the Ontario Public Service, involving the re-platforming of WebFOCUS reports into a modern web application. The project entails migrating existing report logic into a Java-based backend and Angular front end, hosted within a Microsoft Azure environment.

Full Stack Developer (Java / Angular) - Responsibilities:
• Develop fully commented and functional Angular front-end code for the reporting portal
• Design and construct REST API services for report and reference data
• Develop Java-based backend services connecting the application to relational databases
• Migrate and refactor existing WebFOCUS SQL and report logic into the new application
• Ensure source code is version-controlled in Azure DevOps
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide supporting documentation for ministry technical staff

Full Stack Developer (Java / Angular) - Mandatory Skills:
• 8+ years of experience with Java for backend/API development
• 5+ years of experience with Angular (or comparable modern JS/TS framework)
• Experience with relational database technologies and SQL
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in a Microsoft Azure environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Full Stack Developer (Java / Angular) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Prior exposure to or working knowledge of WebFOCUS
• Working knowledge of Power BI
• Working knowledge of Databricks
• Knowledge and understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)

Full Stack Developer (Java / Angular) – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position.
