Software Developer - Intermediate-Java:
On behalf of our Government Sector client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - Intermediate-Java for a 6-month role. This position is onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Software Developer - Intermediate-Java - Job Description:
This role involves working on a critical project for the Ontario Public Service (OPS) in Toronto, focusing on Java development with Oracle databases. The project entails developing large-scale, multi-client web applications and utilizing Azure DevOps for deployment and management.

Software Developer - Intermediate-Java - Responsibilities:
• Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
• Develop detailed programming specifications and generate code.
• Compile data-driven programs and conduct unit tests.
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems during software operation.
• Provide technical assistance in implementation, conversion, and migrations.

Software Developer - Intermediate-Java - Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ years of experience as a designer and developer in large-scale multi-client web applications.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Oracle or SQL databases.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with RestAPI, RESTful WebServices.
• Experience using Azure DevOps.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Software Developer - Intermediate-Java – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge and experience with microservice architecture.
• Experience with Internet-ready applications.
• Experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
• Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA).
• Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions.

Software Developer - Intermediate-Java – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position.

Software Developer - Intermediate-Java - Start Date:
ASAP.

Software Developer - Intermediate-Java - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada, onsite 5 days a week.
