On behalf of our Automotive client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer Python, AI & Atlassian Integrations for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Waterloo, Ontario office.

Software Developer Python, AI & Atlassian Integrations - Job Description:
Procom is seeking a talented and innovative Software Developer to join our client's team supporting enterprise application development, AI-powered automation, and Atlassian platform integrations. This role offers the opportunity to build intelligent solutions that connect Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management (JSM), enterprise SaaS platforms, and emerging AI technologies.

Software Developer Python, AI & Atlassian Integrations - Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain custom software applications and automation solutions using Python.
• Build and support REST API integrations between Atlassian products and enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Develop React-based user interfaces and components to support internal applications and integrations.
• Create and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and AI-assisted workflow solutions.
• Design secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and enterprise identity services.
• Collaborate with Atlassian administrators, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Create technical documentation, integration specifications, and support materials.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing integrations and automation platforms.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and development best practices.

Software Developer Python, AI & Atlassian Integrations - Mandatory Skills:
• Python (3+ years)
• REST API Development & Integration (3+ years)
• JavaScript (2+ years)
• React (2+ years)
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (1+ year)
• Git and GitHub
• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and enterprise API authentication patterns

Software Developer Python, AI & Atlassian Integrations – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management (JSM)
• Knowledge of Atlassian REST APIs and associated data models
• Jira Cloud and/or Jira Service Management administration experience
• Familiarity with Atlassian Forge application development
• Experience with SAML SSO and identity provider integrations (Okta, Azure AD, etc.)

This is a 12 month contract position.
