On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - Security Platforms for a contract role.

Software Developer - Security Platforms - Job Description:
This role involves modernizing application security tooling by developing scalable and secure Java-based platforms. The project includes integrating multiple security tools and automating security insights using AI technologies to enhance the developer experience.

Software Developer - Security Platforms - Responsibilities:
• Build scalable Java-based platforms that process millions of records
• Develop a self-service AppSec catalog and embed security capabilities into the SDLC
• Use AI technologies to automate security insights and improve developer experience
• Provide technical leadership across design, development, CI/CD, and operations
• Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, and easy to adopt

Software Developer - Security Platforms - Mandatory Skills:
• Strong experience in Java development, including Spring Boot
• Experience with scalable systems and processing large data volumes
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with integrating and managing APIs
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms
• Understanding of Application & Cloud security concepts

Software Developer - Security Platforms – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with security platforms like SAST, SCA, DAST
• Knowledge of standards like OWASP Top 10, NIST SSDF
• Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and RBAC
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring developers

Software Developer - Security Platforms – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract with possibility of extension

ASAP.

Software Developer - Security Platforms - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 2 days in the office.
