Software Developer - Senior-Java:
On behalf of our Government client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - Senior-Java for a 6 month contract role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Toronto office.

Software Developer - Senior-Java - Job Description:
The role involves working on existing and new applications, focusing on translating technical specifications into tested applications. The position requires maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting software packages, including providing technical assistance during implementation and migration phases.

Software Developer - Senior-Java - Responsibilities:
• Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications
• Develop detailed programming specifications
• Write and generate code
• Compile data-driven programs, maintain, and conduct unit tests
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems during software operation
• Provide technical assistance in implementation, conversion, and migrations

Software Developer - Senior-Java - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years of experience in Java development with Oracle or SQL database
• Experience in structured methodologies for application development and maintenance
• Experience with RestAPI, RESTful WebServices
• Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to collaborate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience in application design, testing, debugging, and documentation

Software Developer - Senior-Java – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications
• Experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies
• Experience with middleware and gateways
• Knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, Oauth2.0, SSL Certificates)
• Experience using Azure DevOps

Software Developer - Senior-Java – Assignment Length:
This is a 6 month contract position.
