Software Developer - Senior:
On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - Senior for a 7 month contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Software Developer - Senior - Job Description:
The Senior Software Developer will work on large-scale multi-client web applications, focusing on both current platform upgrades and new development projects. The role requires extensive experience in Java development, database management, and the application of microservice architecture principles to enhance product extensibility and maintainability.

Software Developer - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Design and develop large-scale multi-client web applications
• Implement and maintain RestAPI and RESTful WebServices
• Apply microservice architecture principles to enhance product extensibility
• Utilize rapid application development methodologies
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to deliver project goals
• Ensure application security through the use of security gateways and protocols

Software Developer - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale web application design and development
• 10+ years of hands-on Java development with Oracle or SQL database
• 5+ years of experience with RestAPI, RESTful WebServices
• Expertise in microservice architecture
• Experience using Azure DevOps
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven analytical skills and systematic problem-solving

Software Developer - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, Oauth2.0, SSL Certificates)
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies
• Experience in information retrieval packages using query languages
• Public sector experience, particularly with OPS Development standards

Software Developer - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a 7 month contract position.
