Software Developer - Senior:
On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - Senior for a 12 month contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Software Developer - Senior - Job Description:
This role involves translating technical systems specifications into working, tested applications, including developing detailed programming specifications and writing code. The project focuses on maintaining and conducting unit tests, and resolving technical problems during the use and operation of software packages.

Software Developer - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications
• Develop detailed programming specifications
• Write and generate code
• Compile data-driven programs
• Maintain and conduct unit tests
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems during software operation
• Provide technical assistance in implementation, conversion, and migrations

Software Developer - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years of experience as a designer and developer in large-scale multi-client web applications
• Experience in Java development with Oracle or SQL database
• Experience with RestAPI, RESTful WebServices
• Knowledge of microservice architecture
• Experience using Azure DevOps
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Experience in systems re-engineering and workflow optimization

Software Developer - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications
• Experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies
• Experience with middleware and gateways
• Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions
• Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA)

Software Developer - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a 12 month contract position.
