Software Engineer 3:
On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Software Engineer 3 for a permanent role. This position is onsite at our client’s San Antonio, Texas office.

Job Description:
The Software Engineer 3 will focus on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications to meet business and customer requirements. This role involves supporting the full software development lifecycle, including solution design, programming, testing, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
• Analyze requirements, document solutions, and support business process implementation.
• Develop and enhance existing applications using strong knowledge of system architecture and test-driven development practices.
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve system performance, security, scalability, and future-state design.
• Collaborate with leadership, product owners, architects, business liaisons, and customers to gather and clarify requirements.
• Develop full-stack application solutions across front-end, back-end, database, and integration layers.
• Support web services and integrations using SOAP, REST, JSON, and related technologies.

Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; relevant programming experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Mid-level experience developing web-based IT solutions.
• Experience with Java and/or web programming, including JSP, Servlets, JDBC, and web services.
• Object-oriented programming experience.
• Proficiency using GitHub, including branching and merging.
• Experience with one or more software development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or RUP.
• Understanding of APIs, modern application architecture, and secure cloud technologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Java Developer certification.
• Oracle or DB2 certification.
• Experience with Oracle AEM integrations.
• Experience with mobile-responsive web design.
• Experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines.

Assignment Length:
This is a permanent position.
