Software Engineer 4:
On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Software Engineer 4 for a contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s San Antonio, Texas office. 

Software Engineer 4 - Job Description:
The Software Engineer 4 will be involved in analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software programs based on customer requirements. This role focuses on digital transformation, planning third-party integrations, and developing native code. The engineer will lead cross-disciplinary teams to deliver solutions that meet business, technical, and user requirements.

Software Engineer 4 - Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions to meet customer requirements
• Provide software development work estimates and work scheduling
• Plan work schedule, including assessing work prioritization
• Collaborate with leadership, product owners, architects, and business liaison to understand requirements
• Maintain and enhance existing system design through architecture and test-driven development skills
• Research and develop new technologies to enhance design, security, and system performance
• Work closely with Infrastructure and Architect teams to develop and enhance cloud-based solutions

Software Engineer 4 - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering
• Subject Matter Expert experience in web-based IT solutions
• Experience with Java and/or web programming, including JSP, Servlets, JDBC, web services
• Proficient in using GitHub, including branching and merging
• Object-oriented programming experience
• Ability to manage project schedules and tasks
• Strong understanding of Web Services and SOAP/REST integrations

Software Engineer 4 – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Java Developer Certification(s)
• Oracle or DB2 Certification(s)
• Experience with Oracle AEM integrations
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline configurations and management
• Advanced knowledge of OWASP and familiarity with web application vulnerabilities

This is a contract position.
