Software Engineer 4:
On behalf of our Energy client, Procom is searching for a Software Engineer 4 for a one-year contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s San Antonio, Texas office.

Software Engineer 4 - Job Description:
The project involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software programs based on customer requirements, using development standards and the software development lifecycle process. The role includes requirements analysis, design, programming, testing, documentation, and performance improvements.

Software Engineer 4 - Responsibilities:
• Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software solutions to meet customer requirements
• Collaborates with leadership, product owners, architects, and business liaisons to understand requirements
• Maintains and enhances existing system design through strong understanding of architecture and test-driven development skills
• Researches and develops new technologies to enhance current and future design, security, and system performance
• Assists in communication with customers, requirements gathering, design, analysis, documentation, and development of project assignments
• Participates in Agile development methodology and ceremonies

Software Engineer 4 - Mandatory Skills:
• Full Stack development experience
• Proficiency in J2EE Applications, Java, JSP, SQL, and Tomcat
• Strong understanding of Web Services and SOAP/REST integrations
• Expert knowledge in optimizing SQL relational operations
• Good understanding of secure cloud technologies
• Proficient in using GitHub, including branching and merging
• Object-oriented programming experience

Software Engineer 4 – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Oracle
• Java Developer Certification(s)
• Experience with Oracle AEM integrations
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline configurations and management
• Solid knowledge of OWASP and familiarity with web application vulnerabilities

Software Engineer 4 – Assignment Length:
This is a one-year contract position.
