Software Engineer:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Software Engineer for a 12-month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104 office. Please note sponsorship is unavailable. 

Software Engineer - Job Description:
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the think or swim Charting team. In this role, you will design, develop, and support backend services that power charting, market data, and analytics capabilities used by active traders every day. You'll work closely with engineers, product owners, and technology partners to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions in an Agile environment.

Software Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services supporting charting and market data applications.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with product owners, business partners, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Design and implement APIs and service integrations that support internal and client-facing applications.
• Analyze and resolve application defects, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
• Support release activities and help maintain system stability, availability, and performance.

Software Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of experience developing applications using Java.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design principles.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Experience building and supporting distributed or client/server applications.
• Experience working with Spring Framework and related technologies.
• Experience developing and supporting applications in Linux and/or Windows environments.

Software Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience working with real-time streaming or market data systems.
• Experience developing financial services, trading, or other data-intensive applications.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Software Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position. Please note sponsorship is unavailable.
