Solution Architect - Senior:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Solution Architect - Senior for a 1 year contract. This position is fully remote with our Calgary-based client.

Solution Architect - Senior - Job Description:
This role involves defining a strategic roadmap to transition an existing application ecosystem into a distributed system with microservices architecture. The project focuses on migration and modernization of systems and requires collaboration with stakeholders to mitigate risks and align with business strategies.

Solution Architect - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Assess the current applications' landscape and identify modernization opportunities.
• Evaluate and recommend the optimal architecture approach (microservices, modular monolith, hybrid, or incremental modernization).
• Develop target-state architectures and strategic modernization roadmaps.
• Lead domain modeling and enterprise application design activities.
• Ensure alignment of technology solutions with business strategy and operational requirements.
• Identify and mitigate architectural, technical, and operational risks.
• Provide architectural leadership and oversight across projects and initiatives.

Solution Architect - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• Ten years' practical experience working in a Solution Architecture role.
• Experience in interpreting and verifying complex business requirements.
• Experience in system integration and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience creating architecture models using various tools.
• Experience presenting findings and recommendations to clients.
• Architecture experience with complex programs and projects.
• Experience designing distributed systems.

Solution Architect - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in data integration and developing data models.
• Experience with reference models and architecture patterns.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
• Experience in public sector or large organizations.
• Microservices Architect Skills such as domain-driven design and container orchestration.

Solution Architect - Senior – Assignment Length:
The contract is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Open to fully remote candidates (must support MST timezone).
