On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Sourcing Specialist IV for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Houston office.

Sourcing Specialist IV - Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist - IT to act as a strategic partner to Technology and Business leaders. This role involves leading complex IT sourcing initiatives, focusing on negotiations, sourcing strategies, and executing high-value agreements to drive cost savings and operational efficiency across IT services and software portfolios.

Sourcing Specialist IV - Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives for IT services and software, including supplier selection and contract execution.
• Develop and implement IT sourcing and category strategies aligned with technology roadmaps and business priorities.
• Lead and execute complex negotiations for Systems Integrators, Managed Services, and enterprise software agreements.
• Partner closely with IT and business stakeholders for demand planning and sourcing decisions to ensure service continuity.
• Apply market intelligence and cost modeling to strengthen negotiation outcomes.
• Drive contract utilization and savings delivery through governance and performance metrics.
• Support Supplier Relationship Management activities, including performance monitoring and issue resolution.

Sourcing Specialist IV - Mandatory Skills:
• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within IT/Technology environments.
• Proven experience leading complex negotiations for IT services and software.
• Strong background in negotiating complex IT Statements of Work (SOWs) and commercial frameworks.
• Experience delivering measurable cost savings and efficiency gains through sourcing initiatives.
• Strong ability to manage and influence senior IT and business stakeholders.
• University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Sourcing Specialist IV – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• A postgraduate qualification or MBA.
• Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) / Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation.

Sourcing Specialist IV – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.
