Job Description

SQL Server DBA:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a SQL Server DBA for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SQL Server DBA - Job Description:
The role involves supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments both on-premises and in the public cloud. As part of the database administration team, you will contribute to ensuring optimal database availability, security, and performance.

SQL Server DBA - Responsibilities:
• Manage complex SQL Server environments independently
• Drive security compliance and troubleshoot critical issues
• Support database environments on both on-premises and cloud platforms
• Ensure database availability, security, and performance

SQL Server DBA - Mandatory Skills:
• Minimum of 8+ years as a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator
• Expertise in database security features like TDE, TLS, and column-level encryptions
• Proficient in scripting and automation using T-SQL, SSIS, PowerShell, C#, and VBScript
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

SQL Server DBA – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Familiarity with Active Directory and firewall configurations related to SQL Server
• Experience with database administration in cloud environments like GCP and Azure
• Knowledge of SQL Server installation, configuration, and system hardening

SQL Server DBA – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract with a possibility of extension.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days in the office per week.
