SQL Server DBA:
On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a SQL Server DBA for a 4-month role. This position is a remote position, but candidates must work east coast time.

SQL Server DBA - Job Description:
The SQL Server DBA will manage and support SQL Server databases across production and development environments, ensuring availability, performance, security, and compliance. The role involves working on database migrations, performance tuning, and supporting high-availability solutions.

SQL Server DBA - Responsibilities:
• Create, migrate, and decommission databases
• Monitor and troubleshoot daily backups and recovery processes
• Review SQL jobs, alerts, and system notifications
• Support and deploy SSIS packages
• Manage SSRS report access and permissions
• Investigate and resolve database performance issues
• Handle database requests through the Neurons ticketing system
• Manage user accounts, roles, and database security
• Maintain Business Continuity (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures
• Support audits through data extraction and compliance activities

SQL Server DBA - Mandatory Skills:
• Microsoft SQL Server administration
• T-SQL scripting
• Backup and recovery management
• Performance tuning and query optimization
• SSIS and SSRS
• SQL Server Agent and job scheduling
• Database security and user management

SQL Server DBA – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with high-availability solutions (Always On, Replication, Log Shipping)
• Familiarity with PowerShell and database monitoring tools
• Oracle experience
• Bilingualism in English and French
• Knowledge of ITIL, change management, and audit/compliance processes

SQL Server DBA – Assignment Length:
This is a 4-month contract position, with the possibility of extension.
