Sr. Data Engineer - Snowflake
On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for a Sr. Data Engineer - Snowflake for a 12 month contract role. 

Sr. Data Engineer - Snowflake - Job Description:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the enterprise data platform strategy. This involves developing scalable data solutions and enhancing data governance across portfolios. The role focuses on building foundational data capabilities using Snowflake and other cloud-native technologies to support business-critical use cases.

Sr. Data Engineer - Snowflake - Responsibilities:
• Design and implement end-to-end solutions for data, cloud, and software engineering needs.
• Collaborate with technical leads to align engineering decisions with the strategic vision of the team. 
• Build scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouse solutions.
• Evaluate and implement system integrations supporting the team's vision for data as a product.
• Partner with DBTS and enterprise engineering teams to identify, evaluate, and deploy tools and technologies.
• Establish and enhance DevOps practices to improve developer experience and time to market.
• Work with analysts, business stakeholders, and product teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Sr. Data Engineer - Snowflake - Mandatory Skills:
• 7+ years of experience in data-driven organizations on large-scale, end-to-end data initiatives.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of cloud data ecosystems, particularly Snowflake.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Scala, and SQL.
• Expertise with AWS services including S3, EC2, EKS, Glue, SageMaker, Athena, and Redshift.
• Experience designing APIs and microservices.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Sr. Data Engineer - Snowflake – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Sr. Data Engineer - Snowflake – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract to start

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This position is hybrid with 3 days in the office.
