Senior DevOps Engineer

On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Senior DevOps Engineer for a 6-month contract role. Location is Calgary, AB (Hybrid).

Senior DevOps Engineer - Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support their Digital Delivery team, helping bolster strained Executive DevOps resources. This role will have direct impact on Guest Experience initiatives, PCI compliance work, release planning, the 2026/2027 Executive roadmap, and day-to-day operational and on-call support.

Senior DevOps Engineer - Responsibilities:

• Support efforts to simplify, modernize, and enhance the systems powering digital guest experiences
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure, reliable, automated delivery of APIs, applications, and platform services
• Develop and continuously improve Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions across cloud infrastructure, networking, security controls, monitoring, and platform components
• Drive automation across operational processes, deployments, incident response, environment provisioning, and recovery procedures
• Implement and maintain observability solutions (logging, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, distributed tracing)
• Automate and document troubleshooting and operational runbooks for production and guest-facing applications
• Participate in a pre/post-hours on-call rotation supporting a 24x7 production environment
• Support release planning, deployment coordination, and change management across multiple teams and platforms

Senior DevOps Engineer - Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of DevOps experience (Azure preferred)
• Designing and maintaining k8s environments (AKS preferred)
• Building and deploying Docker containers
• Linux administration
• CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps)
• Advanced monitoring implementation (Splunk Cloud, Splunk Observability)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• CDN systems (Akamai)
• JavaScript (Node.js) and Java programming experience

Senior DevOps Engineer - Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Event broker administration (Kafka, Azure Event Hub)
• Redis caching configuration (Azure Redis)
• Dynatrace

Senior DevOps Engineer - Assignment Length:
6 months (Oct 2026 - Apr 2027).

Senior DevOps Engineer - Start Date:
October 19, 2026.

Senior DevOps Engineer - Assignment Location:
Calgary, AB (Hybrid — 3 day/2 day alternating in-office rotation)
