Sr. Observability Engineer
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Sr. Observability Engineer for a 1-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

Sr. Observability Engineer - Job Description:
The Engineer Contractor will support a large Observability project primarily focused on Dynatrace and Splunk. The role involves partnering with key client team members and vendor SMEs to design, plan, implement, and optimize the new solution, as well as participate in the onboarding of all services.

Sr. Observability Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with data analytics, Digital, Cybersecurity, Architecture, Infrastructure, and product engineering teams
• Support the delivery of the new monitoring solution within required timelines
• Provide operational support, design recommendations, and automation strategies
• Ensure holistic monitoring solutions are provided where possible

Sr. Observability Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ years of admin level experience with Dynatrace, including implementation in complex environments
• 3-5 years of automation experience with Terraform and Ansible
• 3-5 years of experience with Observability in a complex, 24/7 environment
• Application performance monitoring
• Synthetic transactions
• Business process monitoring
• Service map design

Sr. Observability Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Splunk and Solarwinds experience
• Grafana and Prometheus experience
• Site Reliability Engineering skills
• ServiceNow ITOM Implementation experience
• VMWare, Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, and AKS Experience

Sr. Observability Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 1-year contract position.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office per week.
