Sr OKTA Engineer:
On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Sr OKTA Engineer for a contract role. This position is a remote position with the client’s office located in Chicago, Illinois.

Sr OKTA Engineer - Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IAM Engineer to support and maintain our identity and access management platforms. The role focuses on Okta administration and support, ensuring secure access, compliance, and a smooth user experience across the organization.

Sr OKTA Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Administer and support Okta Workforce Identity, including SSO, MFA, LCM, and UD
• Design and implement secure authentication flows for cloud, SaaS, and on-prem applications
• Integrate Okta with enterprise applications such as Microsoft 365, AWS, Salesforce, and ServiceNow
• Lead incident root cause analysis and propose enhancements to prevent future issues
• Monitor Okta System Logs and integrate with SIEM for ITDR alerting and detection
• Assist with security and compliance reviews

Sr OKTA Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• 8+ years of experience in IAM, with 5+ years of hands-on Okta administration
• Strong expertise in Okta Workforce Identity and authentication protocols like SAML, OAuth, OIDC
• Experience with Okta Workflows, inline hooks, event hooks, and API-based automations
• Proven experience with Okta integrations for enterprise applications
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with directory services (Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP)
• Strong troubleshooting skills for authentication and provisioning issues

Sr OKTA Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Okta certifications (Okta Certified Administrator or Consultant)
• Familiarity with Zero Trust security models
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code or automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD)
• Knowledge of compliance and security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST)
• Experience working in hybrid or multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
