Job Description

Senior Talent Advisor — (Volume + Niche Recruiting)

Assignment Details
  • Location: Westlake, TX — 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
  • Duration: 15-month contract
  • Contract Type: Not currently contract-to-hire; possibility for extension
  • Interview Process: Onsite interviews preferred
Position Overview
This role supports hiring for Schwab's Service and Operations organizations, with a focus on volume recruitment. The recruiter will build talent acquisition strategies, processes, and capabilities supporting Schwab's business verticals — conducting resume reviews and phone screens, recommending top talent for client-facing roles, extending offers, managing the background check process, and aligning closely with hiring managers.

The team splits work into two halves:
  • Volume/class hiring: Filling cohorts of 15–30 people starting on the same day at a single location — mostly customer service roles, though role types vary. Fill-rate expectations apply, so the candidate needs to be dedicated and metrics-driven, and comfortable working the same type of role repetitively over an extended period.
  • Niche/one-off hiring: Supporting specialized or unique requisitions — strategy roles, alternative investments, product roles. Acting as a strategic advisor and relationship owner for stakeholders on this side of the desk.
Compliance note: This is a highly regulated environment. Interview notes and documentation must be accurate and audit-ready at all times.
AI tooling: Copilot is the only approved AI tool for use in this role. Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of proven recruiting experience
  • Ability to handle up to 25 unique requisitions at a time
  • Prior experience in the financial services/ banking industry
  • Ability to work both high-volume and niche/one-off requisitions simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Superior telephone and interpersonal communication skills
  • Deep understanding of labor markets and talent pools
  • Superior negotiating skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong initiative and accountability
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (iCIMS preferred, with ability to learn and adhere to other ATS/formal processes as needed)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience recruiting across multiple geographies
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Background from either a staffing agency or corporate in-house recruiting — either is acceptable
