On behalf of our Healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Staff Accountant Non-Clinical - Finance/Accounting for a temp-to-perm role. This position is onsite at our client’s Chicago office. 

Staff Accountant Non-Clinical - Finance/Accounting - Job Description:
We are seeking a Staff Accountant for a temp-to-perm opportunity within Accounts Payable. The role involves supporting the Procure-to-Pay processes, performing account reconciliations, and managing banking/payment operations. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills and experience in a high-volume environment.

Staff Accountant Non-Clinical - Finance/Accounting - Responsibilities:
• Support the complete Procure-to-Pay lifecycle, including supplier payments and invoice processing.
• Review and reconcile invoices, payment transactions, and supplier statements.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and unmatched transactions.
• Partner with Procurement, Supplier Management, and Treasury for payment processing.
• Monitor AP aging and outstanding liabilities for month-end close activities.
• Perform account and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Support ACH, wire, virtual card, and check payment processes.
• Analyze AP, payment, and reconciliation data for process improvements.

Staff Accountant Non-Clinical - Finance/Accounting - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-5 years of accounting, accounts payable, or financial operations experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.

Staff Accountant Non-Clinical - Finance/Accounting – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience supporting Procure-to-Pay processes in a large organization.
• Experience with ERP systems like PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or Workday.
• Experience with banking operations and payment controls.
• Knowledge of supplier statement reconciliations and AP subledger accounting.
• Healthcare or large corporate finance experience.

This is a temp-to-perm position.
