Job Description
BMO is currently sourcing for a Strategic Sourcing Manager- Expert to support the People & Culture team in driving innovative sourcing strategies at BMO.
This is a hybrid contract role in Chicago (3-4 days in office per week).
Role Overview:
Join a team focused on shaping the future of sourcing at BMO by developing and implementing strategic sourcing solutions that align with enterprise goals and support a purpose-driven culture within the Human Resources category.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to business partners
- Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Conduct data-driven analysis to inform strategic recommendations
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes
Must-Have Skills:
- 8-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement
- Background in banking/financial institutions preferred
- Strong knowledge of sourcing/procurement processes and controls
- Proficiency in contract negotiation, business analysis, and Excel
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and lead sourcing projects independently
Nice to Have Skills:
- Post-secondary degree in a related field
- Aptitude for influencing offers and working with senior stakeholders
Ideal Candidate:
- Assertive with excellent contract knowledge
- Experience in a large complex organization and regulatory environment
