On behalf our client, Procom is seeking a Supply Chain Professional for a 6 month assignment in Burnaby,  BC. This is a hybrid role with 2 in office days per week. 100% remote candidates are also accepted across Canada supporting PST hours.

Supply Chain Professional Job Details:

We are seeking a steel industry subject matter expert to support the development of a long-term steel category strategy. The resource will provide expertise on steel manufacturing, suppliers, pricing mechanisms, market indices, and supply chain dynamics to help the org better understand its steel-related spend and procurement opportunities. The assignment will involve market research, supplier and industry analysis, validation of strategic recommendations, and development of executive-level presentations and supporting materials. This is a six-month engagement focused on determining whether steel should become a strategic category within the org's procurement portfolio. Experience with steel industry, manufacturing.

Supply Chain Professional Mandatory Skills:
 

• Demonstrated expertise in the steel industry.
• Experience with steel manufacturing and steel suppliers.
• Strong understanding of steel pricing, market indices, and supplier dynamics.
• Knowledge of steel supply chains and related market challenges.
• Experience analyzing the impact of global tensions and geopolitical events on steel supply chains.
• Experience supporting procurement, sourcing, or contract strategy initiatives related to steel.
• Approximately 15-20 years of relevant industry experience.
