Assignment Details

• Duration: 12-month contract
• Location: Onsite 5 days/week, Houston, TX

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on functional configuration and design for SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM, PM/SM, and PS)
• Own the full lifecycle implementation of SAP EAM: requirements gathering, business workshops, gap analysis, blueprinting, design, configuration, testing, cutover, data migration, go-live, training, and post-go-live support
• Contribute to the implementation and execution of SAP EAM/Plant Maintenance processes: assess the current state, identify customer requirements, and define the future state or business solution
• Turn detailed requirements into complete systems design documents and implement them in SAP
• Capture business capability requirements, functional requirements, and expected service levels from the business unit, and create EAM solutions that map to an actionable business-IT roadmap (a long-range plan identifying the IT investments in applications and infrastructure needed to support business objectives)
• Support business unit leadership in identifying opportunities for emerging technologies with the EAM architect, and advise clients on how new technologies affect their existing technical and information system environments
• Keep business and functional requirements intact through development and configuration
• Maintain a strong understanding of the technology needs and solutions of the business units
• Act as liaison between the client, vendors, project management, and the technical team on questions, issues, and revisions to the solution architecture
• Manage engagement risk and economics, including planning and budgeting, accounts receivable, deliverable content, and buy-in of proposed solutions from business owners
• Guide and validate complex fit/gap analysis and design decisions, ensuring deviations from out-of-the-box functionality have sufficient business justification and positive value
• Provide consulting on both new implementations and existing support projects
• Provide ad hoc training and user support as required
• Work self-directed and independently, and mentor more junior team members as a subject matter expert

Your Background Includes

• 15+ years of experience designing, customizing, testing, implementing, and managing enterprise asset management solutions and systems
• Experience in at least 2 full-cycle greenfield or brownfield SAP implementations
• Experience converting new acquisitions or mergers into current platforms
• Experience with current technology implementation patterns
• Strong, persuasive communication and presentation skills, able to explain technical ideas verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical peers
• Experience and knowledge of integrating SAP enterprise modules (e.g., CRM, MM, FI) and third-party applications
