On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior for a 4 month contract role. This position is onsite with 5 days required at our client’s Toronto office.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior - Job Description:
Join the Government Services Integration Cluster in Toronto as a Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior, focusing on manual testing over automation. This role involves working on large-scale system testing and ensuring AODA compliance, with a contract running from November to March 2027, with the potential for extension.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Provide advice on testing strategy, test plans, and selection of testing tools.
• Plan and organize testing efforts for large systems, including GUI and non-GUI environments.
• Develop test plans, test scripts, and test cases, and execute these against various components.
• Execute functional, integration, system, and regression tests.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like ALM, JIRA, and Azure DevOps.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and Postman.
• Conduct performance, stress, and load testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain detailed documentation of test results.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years of experience in software testing in enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale systems.
• Hands-on working experience in manual testing and automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall testing methodologies.
• Extensive experience with AODA testing and compliance.
• Experience creating and maintaining test strategies, test cases, and scripts.
• Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• OPS experience and public sector experience.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
• Understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf Applications (COTS).

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior – Assignment Length:
The contract runs from November to March 2027, with the potential for extension.
