Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior:
On behalf of our IT client, Procom is searching for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior for a 14-month role. This position is onsite for 5 days at our client’s Toronto office.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior - Job Description:
The project involves providing expertise in software testing within enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale systems. The role focuses on both manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Provides advice on testing strategy, test plans, selection of testing tools, and identification of resources required for testing.
• Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in both GUI and non-GUI environments, including execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests).
• Responsible for developing test plans, test scripts, and test cases, and executing these against the various system components.
• Works with the testing lead and IT lead of each project, as well as project team members, throughout analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of required systems.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years of experience in software testing in enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale systems.
• Hands-on working experience in manual testing and automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience developing and planning automated testing.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or Postman for API testing.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
• Experience creating and maintaining test strategies, test cases, scripts, and test reports.
• Knowledge of QA compliance standards and security testing best practices.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language.
• Knowledge and understanding of testing methods in an object-oriented environment.
• Experience coding automated test scripts to produce sets of automated test cases.
• Experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.

This is a 14-month contract position.
