Technical Architect
On behalf of our insurance client, Procom is searching for a Technical Architect for a 6-month role. This position is a remote position with work arrangements directed by our client’s Winnipeg office.

Technical Architect - Job Description
Seeking a Technical Architect to support its enterprise data platform (EDP) initiative. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement data, analytics, automation, and integration solutions using Microsoft technologies and Infrastructure as Code practices to accelerate EDP implementation and support internal teams. 

Technical Architect - Responsibilities
• Design and develop solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse analytics.
• Build and support onelake, lakehouse, data warehouse, and data integration solutions.
• Implement and support medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold).
• Develop cloud-native applications, APIs, and integrations using Azure and .NET.
• Create analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI.
• Develop workflow automation solutions using Power Automate.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and IaC using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Terraform.
• Collaborate with project teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.

Technical Architect - Mandatory Skills
• Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Synapse analytics.
• Strong understanding of medallion architecture.
• Software development experience with Python, Pyspark, C#, .NET, and SQL.
• Experience with cloud-native solutions and integrations using Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Power BI and Power Automate for analytics and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and IaC using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Terraform.
• Advanced written and oral communication skills.

Technical Architect – Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
• Leadership skills in data transformation and engineering development.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Experience working independently in complex enterprise environments.
• Interaction skills with all levels of staff and management.

Technical Architect – Assignment Length
This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for two 6-month extensions.

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, with remote work arrangements.
