We are currently seeking a Senior Technology Architect (Level 3) to support a major Government of Canada initiative with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).

Job Description

The Technology Architect will provide senior-level architecture leadership, strategic technology planning, and technical advisory services to support enterprise digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, security specialists, and technical resources to define and implement enterprise architecture solutions aligned with Government of Canada standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise, solution, and technical architectures.
• Lead architecture assessments and provide recommendations for technology modernization initiatives.
• Define target-state architecture, roadmaps, and migration strategies.
• Analyze existing systems and identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
• Develop architecture artifacts, including:
  • Architecture diagrams
  • Technical specifications
  • Solution blueprints
  • Integration models
  • Security architecture documentation
• Ensure compliance with Government of Canada policies, standards, and security requirements.
• Support cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership during project planning, design, development, and implementation phases.
• Participate in architecture review boards and governance processes.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and operational teams.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• Extensive experience as a Technology Architect on large-scale enterprise projects.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks and standards.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Solution Architecture
  • Infrastructure Architecture
  • Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS, or GC Cloud)
  • Application Integration
  • Security Architecture
  • IT Governance
• Experience preparing architecture documentation and executive-level presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Security Requirements

• Active Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Candidates must maintain clearance throughout the contract period.
