Technology Governance Risk Manager:
On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for a Technology Governance Risk Manager for an 8-month role. This position is a hybrid position with occasional onsite meetings at our client’s Calgary or Edmonton office.
Technology Governance Risk Manager - Job Description:
The role involves supporting the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) programs within Client Experience and Technology (CXT) as part of the P250012 End to End Money Movement project. The Technology Governance Risk Manager will partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify regulatory obligations and risks, assess control design, and monitor deficiencies.
Technology Governance Risk Manager - Responsibilities:
• Coordinate RCSA activities in accordance with client frameworks, standards, risk appetite, and program timelines.
• Facilitate regulatory compliance, risk, and control assessments with accountable CXT stakeholders.
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness using risk-based procedures and evidence.
• Document assessment procedures, evidence, results, and conclusions clearly.
• Identify control deficiencies and recommend remediation or risk acceptance.
• Monitor emerging risks, regulatory changes, and recurring findings.
• Prepare concise program reporting, trends, insights, and recommendations.
• Advise and coach stakeholders on first-line risk ownership and regulatory obligations.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders for effective oversight.
Technology Governance Risk Manager - Mandatory Skills:
• Five to seven years of experience in technology risk, operational risk, regulatory compliance, IT audit, or technology governance.
• Practical experience delivering or supporting RCSA or comparable risk and compliance programs.
• Strong understanding of regulatory obligations, risk and control concepts, and issue management.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills for synthesizing complex information.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with governance, risk, and compliance platforms such as MetricStream or Archer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Accounting, Risk Management, or related discipline.
Technology Governance Risk Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience using data analytics, automation, or AI to improve risk and compliance processes.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
• Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
Technology Governance Risk Manager – Assignment Length:
This is an 8-month contract position with the possibility of extension.

Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Hybrid work arrangement with onsite presence required only for team meetings.
