UKG/Workday Portfolio Manager — Contract

Engagement Type: Contract, ~6 months (possibility of extension)
Location: Onsite required for ~2 weeks around Workday go-live (Jan 1, 2027); 

Overview
Our client is seeking a UKG/Workday Portfolio Manager to oversee an integrated program spanning a UKG-to-Workday transition. This role will manage cross-functional workstreams across HR, Payroll, IT, and Operations, ensuring integration quality, governance, and executive visibility through go-live and stabilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee integrated project plans across HR, Payroll, IT, and Operations
• Own portfolio governance, prioritization, and dependency management across Workday and UKG workstreams
• Deliver executive-level status reporting and risk escalation
• Direct data mapping, conversion, and reconciliation activities between UKG and Workday
• Oversee inbound/outbound interface design and integration testing strategy
• Ensure data quality and governance standards are upheld throughout the transition

Required Skills & Experience

• Deep hands-on knowledge of UKG Pro, Workforce Management (WFM), and Dimensions
• Working knowledge of Workday HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Recruiting, and Benefits
• Familiarity with Workday integration frameworks (EIBs, Studio, Core Connectors, APIs)
• Experience with HCM-to-payroll and workforce management integrations
• Understanding of employee master data, org structures, and security models
• Experience with middleware platforms (Boomi, MuleSoft, or Workday Integration Cloud)
• Proven program/portfolio management experience on large HRIS transformations
