On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for a US Tax Analyst, IRW Concepts (MS Excel) for a 9-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite at our client’s New York office.

US Tax Analyst, IRW Concepts (MS Excel) - Job Description:
The project involves supporting the U.S. Tax Operations team with functions related to U.S. tax Information Reporting and Withholding (IRW). The US Tax Analyst will be responsible for daily reconciliations, reviewing tax reports, and assisting in tax filings, with a focus on maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

US Tax Analyst, IRW Concepts (MS Excel) - Responsibilities:
• Perform daily reconciliation of withholding tax and adjustment journals.
• Reconcile U.S. tax for quarter-monthly deposits to the IRS.
• Review and resolve cost basis breaks using vendor systems and Excel.
• Conduct weekly meetings with the cost basis vendor.
• Organize and host weekly U.S. Tax Operations team meetings.
• Assist in the preparation and production of IRS year-end tax filing submissions.
• Update written procedures to align with current processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate report submission for management approval.
• Respond promptly to internal tax-related queries.
• Contribute to team success by developing processes and adhering to controls.
• Assist or lead ad hoc projects and daily deliverables as needed.

US Tax Analyst, IRW Concepts (MS Excel) - Mandatory Skills:
• 2+ years of experience as an Operations Tax Analyst or similar role.
• Familiarity with U.S. Tax IRW concepts and relevant IRS forms.
• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, including lookups and pivot tables.
• Experience in tax reporting/filing processes, including cost-basis reporting.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.

US Tax Analyst, IRW Concepts (MS Excel) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with vendor applications like Broadridge systems.
• Prior experience working at a big bank or financial institution.
