VMware Implementor:
On behalf of our IT client, Procom is searching for a VMware Implementor. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

VMware Implementor - Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced VMware Implementor to lead a critical upgrade project from vSphere 8 to VCF 9.x across multiple data centers in Canada and the US. This project involves enhancing the current infrastructure to support business operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

VMware Implementor - Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with solution architects to plan and execute the VMware environment upgrade to 9.x
• Provide input to IS Infrastructure project deliverables, including schedules, test plans, and implementation plans
• Develop and review support processes to ensure compliance with policies and standards
• Mitigate risks through effective infrastructure design and implementation

VMware Implementor - Mandatory Skills:
• VMware Architecture, Design, Implementation Experience
• Experience with VMware environment upgrade to VCF 9.x
• Experience with workload migration to VCF 9.x
• VMware stack experience with SRM, NSX-T, vSphere, vSAN, vLCM
• 7 - 10 years of related experience in IT infrastructure
• Strong communication skills
• Understanding of IT business continuity and security

VMware Implementor – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Lead VMware DR and High Availability testing
• VMware professional training (VCP-DCV, VCP-NV, VCP-TKG)
• 4+ years experience working with VMware
• Skills as a solution/system architect
• Understanding of risk assessment and optimization methodologies

VMware Implementor – Assignment Length:
This is a contract position ending on March 31, 2027 with posibility of extension.

VMware Implementor - Start Date:
ASAP.

VMware Implementor - Assignment Location:
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days in the office.
