Web Graphics Designer. REMOTE (OTTAWA)

THIS CONTRACT HAS A TBD START DATE AND GOES FOR 12 MONTHS LATER (GREAT CHANCE OF EXTENSION)
LOCATION: REMOTE (THE CLIENT IS IN THE OTTAWA AREA)

Mandatory Skills

• Must possess post-secondary education, such as a college diploma, university degree, or higher qualification, from a recognized Canadian institution or an equivalent qualification from an accredited international institution in a relevant field such as Graphics Design, Digital Media Design, Computer Science / Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science or Mathematics.
• Must have experience producing clear, reusable UX design for web applications, including wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing as well as technical documentation that supports implementation and long?term maintenance through various roles and/or projects for at least five (5) years within the last ten (10) years.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) projects, completed within the last ten (10) years, in which they applied WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards in UX design and developed bilingual (English and French) web applications or interfaces for the Canadian public sector or comparable environments.
• Must have experience working in a secure environment, such as projects involving protected or classified information or systems requiring compliance with recognized security and privacy standards (e.g., Government of Canada, ISO 27001, or equivalent).

The scope of work of the Contract includes, but is not limited to:

The Web Graphics Designer professional will be expected to execute the following tasks during this contract, but not limited to:

• Workshop Summary & UX Plan
• Research Findings Report
• NRD Development, Design and Iterative Change Sprints
• Bi-weekly Status Update
• List in bullet form submitted weekly to the resource Lead/Manager:
• Activities accomplished in the last week
• Status of all action/decision items, as well as a list of outstanding activities
• Objectives for the upcoming week/impact analysis breakdown 
• Issues/Concerns/Roadblocks
• Final UX Documentation & Handover Package
• Knowledge Transfer & Closeout
• Project Completion Report
• The Contractor’s Resources must report, in writing, to the PL, the TA (or their designated representatives) any special circumstances or events affecting the provision of the required services within two (2) working days of identification.

This posting is for a public sector assignment. Compensation will be determined through the competitive bidding process and will be within the approved rate structure for this assignment.
