On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Windows 11 Security Hardening & Remediation Specialist for a 6-month role. This position is remote, with a preference for Alberta-based candidates but open to anywhere in Canada.

Windows 11 Security Hardening & Remediation Specialist - Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Windows 11 Security Hardening & Remediation Specialist to lead critical security hardening and remediation efforts. This project aims to secure the environment, minimize the attack surface, and align with industry best practices such as CIS Benchmarks and NIST.

Windows 11 Security Hardening & Remediation Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Conduct deep-dive gap analysis of the current Windows fleet against Cybersecurity Governance Hardening Standards.
• Develop hardened configuration baseline documentation in alignment with the Configuration Hardening Standard.
• Author, refine, and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs), configuration profiles, and PowerShell remediation scripts.
• Ensure Windows 11 endpoint security configurations align with specialized local applications and databases.
• Lead the phased rollout of OS-level hardening configurations across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with Windows Engineering, IAM, and Cybersecurity Governance teams to ensure compliance.
• Deliver training, testing, and documentation.

Windows 11 Security Hardening & Remediation Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Deep technical knowledge of Windows enterprise security architecture.
• Experience managing and deploying security policies via UEM platforms.
• Proficiency in PowerShell for automated remediation scripts.
• Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks, NIST SP 800-53, or DISA STIGs.
• 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Endpoint Engineering, or Infrastructure Security.
• Solid understanding of ports, protocols, and services management.
• Strong documentation skills for creating hardening standards and remediation playbooks.

Windows 11 Security Hardening & Remediation Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Omnissa Workspace One.
• Background in large-scale enterprise remediation projects.
• Ability to translate compliance documents into technical requirements.
• Strong analytical mindset.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Windows 11 Security Hardening & Remediation Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position, with a hard cut-off at the end date.
