On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Workday Implementation Project Manager for a 14 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.
Workday Implementation Project Manager - Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Workday Implementation Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the company’s Workday implementation. This role involves overseeing the successful delivery of Workday modules, integrations, process design, and change management activities to ensure a smooth transition.
Workday Implementation Project Manager - Responsibilities:
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of Workday HCM and Payroll modules in a multi-site, unionized, multi-country organization.
• Own overall project delivery, including scope, timelines, prioritization, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, RAID logs, and decision-making.
• Establish and maintain effective project governance, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities and clarify requirements.
• Lead the relationship with the Workday implementation partner and oversee integration efforts.
• Own and facilitate steering committee meetings, executive briefings, and project status updates.
• Provide strategic guidance on Workday best practices and change management approaches.
• Oversee system testing, data migration, and go-live readiness.
• Lead change management and user adoption strategies.
Workday Implementation Project Manager - Mandatory Skills:
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading complex, large-scale, cross-functional implementation projects.
• Strong experience managing Workday implementation projects in a multi-country, unionized environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of Workday delivery methodology and best practices.
• Proven experience in implementing all Workday HCM modules.
• Strong ability to manage governance, scope, budget implications, and risks.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Solid understanding of HCM, payroll, and finance business processes.
Workday Implementation Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience leading a Dayforce-to-Workday deployment.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Workday certification.
• Bilingualism – EN/FR.

This is a 14 month contract position.
